General sticking struts

struts are sticking on my stilo multiwagon but went to garage they said ok to use as this will not do any damage but try to lubricate to see if they free up can anybody tell me best way to lubricate struts and where to lubricate them . thanks in advance busboy4444.

Shock [struts] have internal oil and should not need external lubrication.. to me this sounds as though the shocks are starting to seize ..you should be able to go on all four corners and bounce the car without any sticking ..

do they stick in the vertical plane or in the rotational plane?

If the latter its the turret bearing needs lubrication.

C'mon guys, think outside the box.

20 years working for the AA taught me it's not so much the car that's the problem but the member's (owner's) description of the problem.
