Hi there.

Just bought our first Fiat Stilo. It's a 2002 1.6 manual. It has the CD player stereo (non mp3).

Sometimes when we turn on the car the lights on the stereo come on, the LCD is backlit but nothing is on the LCD screen at all. You have to then turn it off and then back on for it to work.

Was wondering if this is normal behavior or if anyone else has experienced this and found a fix for it.

Also, the right speaker is only "half" working... what I mean is, the left side is loud and clear but the right side is only half the volume and not as nice and clear. This could obviously be a faulty speaker but wondered if anyone else has experienced this also.

BTW - how freaking great is the Stilo? We love it!!! Go Fiat! (y)

Not sure but it may be worth checking the wiring, when i got mine all that was on the stereo was "no can network" i removed the unit and found 2 of the wires were cut, the previous owner must have had an after market unit in it, after connecting them it works great, but I'm still going to put my mp3/bluetooth player in

On mine this sometimes happens if you leave a CD playing when you stop the engine - and I've a feeling it's a common issue.

There might be a solution to it but I simply hit the SOURCE button before turning off and that stops it happening (y)
