Just bought new punto grande 1.2 dynamic from a car supermarket. Stereo not working. No handbook :( . Working all W/E so can't get to dealer. i'm hoping its fuse. Searched forum and apparently its F51 in the dashboard. Can any one be more specific please.
Thanks in advance :)

Paul.

welcome to the madhouse thinkof1 :D

dont want to sound patronising but do you know how to turn the sterio on?

to turn it on press and hold the volume knob for a second or 2...

there could be a couple of reasons why it isn't working the fuse as you said or the fact some muppet hasn't plugged the multi-plug in the back of the radio to check this you will need a set of "radio keys" from a motorworld type shop.

the location of #51 fuse is behind the glove box..

hope that helps...

Thanks andy monty. I have had a play with my knob ;) Have located fuse although my hand is a bit big ! Got some keys somewhere. Gonna have a go now. Thanks again.

I know what your saying T but my local Dealers a 40 mile round trip for the cost and the time sat waiting/ booking it in for the sake of five minutes and hopefully a 50p fuse it might be worth a quick look especially after he said the dreaded "a car supermarket" :D

Fair comments, guess with petrol price you'll be cheaper doing it yourself as you say.

well it aint the fuse ! Don't think my keys will pull the unit out, may need to fashion something or nip down to shop :)
Just on the car supermarket theme, things have gone ok but when i mentioned the stereo they gave me a number to ring which turns out to be the fiat main dealer ! Bet there gonna love me when i turn up, plus my brakes squeal, which apparently is a known issue.

With all due respect eddiecoid, you're piggybacking a Grande Punto thread that's almost 18-years-old! In addition you've provided very little information other than your radio doesn't work.

Start by going through the Electrical Gremlins and Earthing guides. If you find nothing there that helps then create a NEW thread in the PUNTO section. When you do, provide as much detail as possible. Describe the nature and history of the problem, the model of radio (i.e. original Fiat or aftermarket), what you were doing when the problem started (e.g. installing a replacement radio), what steps you've already taken to try to resolve the issue, any error codes that diagnostics is showing, etc.

You're more likely to get help this way.
