Technical Steering wheel

Hi, firstly can I just say this is a great site. Now on to my problem, can any one advice me if I can disconnect the wire to the air bag (steering wheel removal) without it deploying. Hope some one can help

To remove steering wheel with air bag:

1. Turn key to off and remove, hide it somewhere or you will set the air bag indicator off and need it resetting by Fiat.

2. Disconnect both battery leads and insulate.

3. Wait 10 mins before starting work.

4. You can now remove the lead by holding the connector, not the wire.

5. Put the air bag module in a lockable explosive steel cabinet. ( I know you have one of these lying around somewhere ) Basically handle with care, it is an explosive device.

under no circumstances use a multi meter on the air bag assy

9v is more than enough to deploy,,

I know i used to make them for a living!!!

you cant react as quick as they deploy!!!! in the right hands they are safe,

get is wrong, and they are bl**dy lethal
