General steering stalk adaptors query

Ok, ill try a different method!

Can I get or use a steering stalk adaptor (a fiat standard one, if there is one) like (i assume) the ones that are used in Marea, and connect it into my Brava?
I still have the original Fiat head unit but could I use it on a panasonic cd player, which a handheld remote control can control it? If I can, what extra parts do I need, apart from the fiat steering stalk adaptor.

yes you can fit the wiring harness for the steering wheel controls from a marea. but to get it working with a panasonic headunit you will need to either buy an adapter or modify the wiring. to modify the wiring you need to know which wire does what on the fiat harness, and also which pin is used for which signal on the headunit, and then bodge them together.
