i know the bushes are good as a new arm went on a couple of months ago,

Put the front of the car on axle stands and see if you can reproduce the squeak. I'd suspect the track rod end or wheel bearing.

Is it a squeak from the steering, or a squeak from the wheel turning?

its from the wheel turning, sometimes when going over rough ground in a straight line at low speed (10mph) it squeaks too!

thanks

i'm guessing with this that i will have to put it on axle stands and find the squeak? anything tell tale sighns i should look for?

thanks

With the wheel off, grab hold of the steering arm and waggle the hub to see if there's any play in the track rod end. Pull up on the bottom of the strut and look for any movement up and down on the top mount bearing. Get someone else to tun the steering wheel, listen for and identify any squeak.
