General steering knocking noise

when I turn the steering wheel when not moving I get a knocking noise but when driving cannot hear it.

Spot on................normal problem. Are they the original bearings ??, and what age/milage is the motor ??.
They will need sorting asap, and watch the tracking afterwards, changing the bearings has been known to cause 'knock-on' problems.

thanks for that, its going in on Monday because a motor bike hit the wing and wheel. may get it done by the insurance

both bearing gone only 12k mile on the clock, very poor fiat not care

Get on to your dealer and claim it under warranty, labour and vat included. Fiat are well used to this problem..................
