starting problems

hi guys, i really need some help. i have a 52 plate fiat punt active sport. recently i have been experiencing cold starting problems. however this is now becoming a warmer weather problem too. turning the key on ignition i get the whirring sound of the starter motor but at a much reduced rate.( as if the battery was nearly flat )the dashboard clock resets itself to zero but the battery is fully charged. i just get the noise of a near flat battery. sometimes i can start the car fine. other times not.

can anyone please please please help me????

Just out of curiosity have you checked with a different battery in the car? I would also try to see if a garage would test the starter motor to make sure that is fine as well.
