General starter motor doblo cargo

thought i had dead battery but after replacing it with new one, got a cloud of smoke from the solenoid on the starter motor.
has anyone had similar problem and does anyone know if i can buy solenoid on its own and where
if not where is the best place to get the starter motor

Ebays normaly good for bits like this,but saying that ive just had the wifes mini cooper alternator repaird for £45 instead of £200 for a new one
might be worth a browse through the yellow pages??

p.s the only place you will get the soleniod from is by having it repaird im afraid.
