Many years ago when the Fiat Cinquecento was new my brother had one. And back then a lot of the Cinquecento's waved at each other. There was especially on guy he often met, who also had a yellow sporting, and they always waved/flashed at each other. One day my brother crashed with his Cinquencento, about 80 km from where he lived. By coincidence his yellow sporting wave-buddy drove by and saw him. He stopped, and drove my brother 80 km home, even though he was going the other direction. I think that was really cool.
Anyway, when I got my 500 I of course started waving at other 500's. But now after 5 months, nobody has waved back, except one woman around 50 years old who I saw about 20 minutes after I picked mine up the first day. She smiled and waved when she passed me.
The other day I was driving around with my brothers girlfriend. She was in her Pink 500 and I was in my white lounge. At some point we met another white lounge and the three of us was driving all the way thru copenhagen. I think we followed each other for around 20 minutes, then he had to turn left, and we continued straight ahead. I of course waved at him, when he left our 500 convoy, but apparently he didn't appreciate the beauty of 3 500's, and didn't wave back. A lot of other people that saw us, did look and smile when seeing 3 500's.
But I'll continue waving. And if I meet another 500 that has crashed, I think I'll offer him/her a ride home if possible, just to let them know that they are members of an exclusive club (with only 500.000 members
