Stalling cinquecento

Hi there i need help.
i have recently bought a 1996 cinqecento for my first car and it is stalling at traffic light or whenever i come to a stop. it does it when its ticking over and i have to keep the revs up to stop this, i had a diagnostic done and was told it was either the coil pack or ht leads. changed them both and got new spark plugs and its still the same, seems to get worse the less fuel in the engine.

if anyone can help i would appriciate it as i'm out of ideas.

Dying fuel pump or clogged fuel filter perhaps?

I know your Revs are set to stop your engine from cutting out, like my gps sits a 8000 rpm idle. Yeah check your fuel filter, fuel pump, hoses around the engine, make sure non are split, if so replace, check the idle control valve, make sure it aint blocked.... if you cant see anything... local garage at last resort

this advise was great and it did turn out to be the fuel pump (loads of gunk in it) thanx so much.
