AGPs had to have the EsseEsse kit fitted new or within 12 months. Had to be by an Abarth dealer, and cost £4000!
The service book should have the upgrade part filled in and stamped showing it was fitted. Abarth then sent a certificate to the owner, confirming that it was an official conversion - it's called a certificate of elaboration (I framed mine, so I didn't lose it). As you paid through the nose for it to be fitted, there is absolutely no reason why a genuine car wouldn't come with its certification - there's no way of validating it via the bits fitted & dvla refused Abarth's requests to amend V5's (though at least that means the co2 and tax stays the same!).
