As the title says, does anyone know where I can get a replacement spring clip thingy for the front of the air filter housing on my 1.2 8V? It's not on the housing itself, it's the bit that secures the front of the housing to the engine, a plastic hook type thing that fits the filter housing and a spring that stretches down and locates on a lug on the front of the head.

I tried to get the ePER working but couldn't find any mention of it!

Anyone know what it's called so I can see if I can source one from a Fiat dealer? I reckon it's that or a scrappy!

Cheers

Recycler would be the easiest.

Bred, unfortunately not, I'm in Berkshire. The girlfriends family are up that way though! Where abouts in Manchester are you? Not Bredbury by any chance?

I don't think they're that important, though I guess the air filter assembly rattling around isn't exactly desireable. I have mine tied on with a couple of zip ties at the moment, but that means every time I need to take the filter houseing off (seemingly every 5 minutes at the mo :( ) I have to put a new zip tie on, and I'm running low!

Hi guys, I'm having the same problem, can't find this damn clip. Anyone had any luck finding one?

simple fix, drill 2 small holes and pop a tie wrap in, just cut off and fit a new one when needed

am I missing something here..??,

the original spring catch goes from a loop of plastic ( on air filter housing)
to a spigot (rod sticking out) on the cylinder head,

so which of the potentially VERY BAD places am I drilling a hole..??:(

rather than looping a cable tie around the 2 objects and tensioning it up:idea:

haha yes sorry my fault not reading post properly, thought you meant the ones that hold filter box closed, i know which one you mean now, my punto never had one on all the time i had it, only when i got the panda did i notice the one your on about cos it had come off and was dangling down

Yeah, I think I'm going to avoid drilling holes anywhere round there! I'm based around Portsmouth. I've got it cable tied it for now, not sure that's a long term fix though!
