Technical Split reay location

I have a AUTOTRAIL motorhome year 2001 and because the battery keeps discharging i want to fit a BATTERY MASTER, trouble is i do not know where the split charger is . Can any one help please.

IF there is a split charger fitted, it is specific to the Autotrail, not Ducato. I suggest you try to find why the battery keeps discharging. Are you saying the "house" battery discharges? Or the starter battery?
If the starter battery, then try disconnecting the motorhome wiring from it and confirm that the starter battery does not discharge.
If the house battery, then look at the wiring between it and the controller. Is the controller a Schaudt Elektroblock? If so, the split charger is inside the main box of the controller.
Need more information to go further.

Hi PeterM, the starter battery is discharging because of the radio memory at .25amp and as it is not used for a while the battery went dead on me. Is this enough for further comment?. Thanks .

Ah. We have been here before on the Forum. Have you tried the search function for "radio", "battery", ...?

Is the radio in the dash and is it the original Blaupunkt from Fiat? If so, the "radio memory" does not draw .25 A, it draws less than 0.04 A, and will not discharge a battery for many weeks. Can you turn the radio on with the ignition off? If so, someone has fiddled with the wiring to the radio. The radio is supposed to turn on only when the ignition is on and can stay on for up to 20 min after the ignition is turned off.

The forum has a post describing fitting a switch to turn the dash radio on and off regardless of ignition setting. Maybe that is all you need. Certainly a Battery Master is not going to solve your problem if this is what it is.

Hi, the radio works when ignition is off and the memory yellow wire has been connected to the red one but that cannot be the ignition one as its live all the time. Its a ALDI bluetooth radio.
