After a lil advice, planning on converting my 70 sx ie from SPi to some 36mm idf carbs. I have an electonic dizzy from an 1116 ohc engine, coil, carbs, inlet manifolds, leads etc just wondering if any1 can think of anythin else i will need or has any advice or done this previously.

DCNF's are prefered for transverse engines

You'll need the hardware like linkages, air filters etc

I have twin 36 IDFs on my Uno (1580cc) too, works well. Another guy I know has them on his 1300 with no problems. I've never encounted the surging problems that are ment to be associated with putting them on a transverse engine.

The problem with DCNFs is that everyone wants them so they are hard to get and tend to be expensive. IDFs are easier to get (mine came off an alfa 33).

As Steve said you will need to make linkages. If you want I can post pictures of my linkages.

thanks guys. pictures would be nice please. can i still run the spi fuel pump with the carbs, shouldnt be too much pressure should it>

Not without a regulator. SPI runs around 15psi which is far too high

What year is your 70SX and how do you intend to use it when converted to carbs? Bear in mind that fitting carbs in place of the SPi will raise the emissions, and if you have a later model mk2 (post '93) then you could struggle to meet MOT requirements. Assuming you're in the UK that is and want to use it as a road car.

If you're building a track car then ignore all I wrote above and fit them carbs ;)

cool so i need a fuel pressure regulator then, goin to use it for road/trackday use oh and its a 1990.
