Just a quickie, where's the speedo sensor and what's it look like. Last 2 days the speedo has dropped to zero and only worked again after i accelerate fairly hard. Presuming it's got ice on it and now dirty?

Ahh right, well its dark atm and was before so will have to check 2moz but don't suppose anyone has any pictures of what I'm meant to be looking for and where to clean it up? Thanks

I can only guess that either the wiring has developed a fault or that water has gotten into the connector. You can't really service them otherwise. Snap the connector apart -- the only one remotely like it in that area is the reversing light switch one, and that is 2 pin -- spray with your favourite water dispersant, coat with vaseline or (better) silicon grease (not ordinary grease) and pop it together again.

Assuming you ve the same set up(late now so i ve done no checking) heres a pic of the sensor plug and the gubbins inside(bottom casing in pic = diff housing

cheers

Arrow is badly placed by the original person who posted it, but it shows the area you need to look- ie from the top!

if you look at where the driveshafts enter the differential as a landmark point you will soon see the sensor plug on the side

good luck
