Just a quickie, where's the speedo sensor and what's it look like. Last 2 days the speedo has dropped to zero and only worked again after i accelerate fairly hard. Presuming it's got ice on it and now dirty?

It's in the differential (back middle of gearbox) has IIRC a 3 pin connector.

You can probably see the connector (depends how far you lean over).
You need to be looking right over the back, its driven by a gear on the diff, just inboard of the bearing.

Nope, but it will be pretty obvious. There is nothing else down there.

I can only guess that either the wiring has developed a fault or that water has gotten into the connector. You can't really service them otherwise. Snap the connector apart -- the only one remotely like it in that area is the reversing light switch one, and that is 2 pin -- spray with your favourite water dispersant, coat with vaseline or (better) silicon grease (not ordinary grease) and pop it together again.
Worst case scenario, dropped diff bearings.

I think I found it, right below the bleed valve at the back but slight nearer the gear box! Cleaned that up anyways and all good so far! Thanks for all help!
