I broke the white plastic fitting the goes on to the speedo.
It is broken just above the crimp.
My question is has anyone successfully fixed on by glue, or another method.

I have a spare and fitted so all is good.
I wanted to fix this one for a spare for me or someone else.

Not sure if araldite or similar would stick to the plastic surfaces.

I never tried on the plastic fitting but have glued similar types of plastic. The best thing to do is to clean it thoroughly (actually with brake cleaner so it degreases the surface well) and apply superglue or similar type of glue - as long as it is for plastic or rubber.
For instance this one here: Loctite All Plastics Glue: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home: Henkel Ltd (ADH & Sealants)
The other trick is to make the perfect fit between the parts. The use of a thin plier is recommended :)

That is what I was thinking, supergluing the white plastic fitting, then getting some unbreakable glue/sealant that they use on Caravan bodies etc. I used some, admittedly on wood and aluminium, and when I wanted to break it the wood split but the glue would not break!
