Styling speedlines?

Styling speedlines?

I was going to look at getting the four holes turned into slots ever so slightly when I get them bored out, unless this is something anyone would strongly recommend against doing? I believe cov69 did this with his 16v Sei (not the 2.0), except instead of paying a machine shop he did it himself with a black and decker :D

Also probably get them powder coated white, not only to cover up the freshly exposed metal but also black wheels probably wouldn't look quite right on an Imola Cinq.

Got them on Tuesday/Wednesday (can't remember). As described on the listing. Even if they didn't have the ding they need to be repainted/coated.

Going to use wobbly bolts, as otherwise the inserts would need to be pressed out, new ones set in, etc and it'd probably be silly money.

Spotted a small problem though, the Cinq hub has two small bolts on it (one with a pin to aid refitting a wheel) but the inside of the Compos are flat with just the four holes for the main studs, unlike the Cinq wheels with the four holes to allow for them). Is there some alternative to the two bolts or should I chop off the pin and have two small (5mm?) pits made on the wheels when the centre bore is enlarged?

i had i similar problem when i fitted my spacers

i removed the bolts completely as all the do is keep the hub, disc and spacer alined when fitting the wheels and then the wheels nuts keep everything together

or you could convert from bolts to nuts, think it was whitz or ming that have done it to there car

You don't really need them. Just remove the locating pins and keep the flat headed bolts.

What you doing about the centre bores :) ? Lovely wheels at a very good price!!

Ming

The bolt heads would still stop the two faces meeting though, which is why I thought of maybe having two dimples made on the wheel face when the centre bore is machined out a bit.

How are vaux brake discs fitted, the same bolts recessed into the disc?

Drums ok, small risk of the hub inside moving compared to the drum, but I thought they also held the discs in place while refitting the wheel, so if you knocked the disc while refitting it's super happy swearing time? Especially at the side of the road.

I'll consider a stud conversion if required, but having two dimples put in seems the easiest and cheapest option at the moment, considering you can get multifit wheels with 8 holes it seems having 4 holes and two dimples won't affect the safety of the wheel.

Last thing, even searching within this forum finds posts suggesting the FIAT centre bore is 58mm and 58.1mm, which is it?
