I have been told that satnav speed readouts can be, or are more accurate than car speedo's.

Yes its true as long as you keep a steady speed on a straight level road.

Think about it, billions of pounds worth of satellite technology that every armed force in the world relies on or a speedo roughly calibrated once in its lifetime. Yes satnav is more accurate.

Car Speedo's always read fast, if they didn't in theory you could sue the manufacturers if you got done for speeding and the speedo was reading slow.
