Technical Specification of gas struts for Amigo

I've been able to find a reliable and inexpensive source for these struts which I will share when I get round to describing work on the roof. But before I order them I'm struggling to know how strong they need to be....my instinct is as strong as possible, but I know the previous owner had problems pulling the roof down. I've been give the options of 450N and 250N..the existing ones give no clue; can anyone help please?

hi I have a 83 caravelle and i'm having the same problem can get new struts but don't know what strength to get have you had any luck with yours yet?
