General Speakers

If you have a Mk2 they are normally underneath the dash and 4" fit as standard. Probably a lot of effort to move them into the doors.

Buy some decent 4" speakers for the front, then add some speakers to the rear - depending on your budget. The standard speakers are absolutely useless!

theres a fair bit of room in the door panels... it shouldnt be too dificult to cut a hole out of each panel. the only problem I can see is that the panels (in my uno at least) are pretty flimsy and might rattle.

I have 6by9s in the rear and they are ok,make up for the useless standard speakers in the front some what and I am not into loud music, just of an acceptable quality and something better when I am not in the car.

Panels on the Mk2 Uno is suitable for speakers - it some kind of molded wood. Haven't done it myself, but removed them when I refurnished the car. Snap off the window handle, unscrew the door inside handle. SLIP the shield around the opener to the side whilst opening the door to remove the shield. Else it will break. Sorry for lack of correct words - use your imagination. The panel is now attached with plastic clips that must be withdrawn WITH the panel. Start from bottom and work your way up. When attaching the new speakers make sure they are not too deep, so your window rolls down. You'll also need a plastic tube etc. from the door to the body to keeo the cables safe.

I've insertet 4 4" speakers. They provide much sound but no boost at all. This I've covered with 2 10" behind the front seats. Amp boltet under passenger seat.

Id just go for some good quality 4" speakers

JBL or Fusion make good 4" ones, but any good make (Sony, etc) would be an improvement on the standard speakers!

I dont think its worth the effort of making door builds if ur not really into loud music
