Speaker advice needed.

Hello all.

I have recently bought a pair of 13cm kenwood components for my bravo, and after having spent a good week tracking down some speaker adapters should be ready to install them in the next couple of days. Anyway i was just seeing if anyone could advise me on the best place to mount the crossovers, as im not really sure were they will fit without being in the way. Also i was wandering if it is worth upgrading the speaker cable at the same time. I know this would be a fairly big job, so is it actually worth doing?

Unless your speakers are REALY REALLY expensive, then you dont need to replace the speaker wire going thru the door. Obviously if you have an ampy you need to run new speaker cable to your crossovers etc.

Here is where to mount your crossovers -

on the drivers side (Assuming right hand drive car) remove the triangular panel in the dash (above the accelerator pedal) that allows access to the fuses, and velcro the crossover up there.

On the passenger side undo the clips in the top of the glove box, remove the top of the glovebox, and velcro the crossover under there.

DEAD EASY!

Jonathan i would be more then willing to buy from you mate but you have none in stock and i want to fit my new speakers asap

I got mine from a place close to me in southampton called anglesea car radio. I still havent recieved the phone call telling me they have arrived which was expected on friday! Very annoying, will be giving him a call 2moro.
I was originally going to get them of Jonathan as well, but discovered that he has none.

By the way are there any people in this forum that live down south, or am i the only one!? I have seen all the threads on the meets you guys do and would like to get involved, but a 4-6 hour drive to get up north and then back again presents a slight problem for me.

Jonathans moving to Bristol (?) and Si is coming down somewhere round Heathrow area (?) and I certainly wouldn't mind the trip as I'm in Hitchin.

Have a go and organise something in between fella. It's been a while coming I think.
