Hi, sorry if this has already been brought up or seems a stupid question. but my insurance is £4,500, so dont have much cash to buy a decent sub. however iv got a home surround sound sub which i dont use anymore, is there any way which i could ire up this sub to the car? Thanks

4.5k on insurance are you mad???
It depends what it is TBH. It could in theory work with the right amp. You can pick up JBL, JL and other subs in a box for about £30 which will be much much better.

that's a ridiculous insurance quote. I have my own policy earning my own NCB for £2100. check out i-kube.co.uk. great for new drivers.

as for the home surround sound system...it would theoretically work but don't forget that it's meant to run off 240v...the car doesnt have that without an inverter. hassle if you ask me. get a cheap sub if you're desperate, you can get some really good second hand ones from ebay.

Yeah. £4,500 is the cheapest iv found. And I'm a named driver! So not even earning no claims. I really don't want one of them boxes put in, as I have just passed my test and want to go out with my mates at night. Thanks for the advice on the sub. I think ill just get a second hand one from ebay. Save the hastle! Cheers
