Sometimes it will.... sometimes it won't

Probably asking a question here that has already been asked a thousand times.

Sometimes my car will start and the CODE light goes out on the dash sometimes it won't start and the CODE light stays on.

Can this have something to do with the battery in my key running low or is it that transponder thingy have a bad day......?

Nothing to do with the battery at least.

The battery is only for the remote central locking facility - nothing to do with the code.
Can't help you any further with your problem.

Check your car battery, this happened on my brava turned out it was on its last legs.

I'll get the bloke to check the battery. He's the mechanic I'm just the interior/exterior designer.... it's a girlie thing I know but there you go!

It happened when I bought my Bravo, sometimes it would go out and start ok, other times it wouldn't go out and wouldn't start.
Turned out to be a dodgey key, never had any probs since. It was about £60 for a new key.

I've got a spare blue key and the red key so I'm not too worried. Just wanted to check it wasn't something stupid before I got another replacement. Will wait until it gives up the ghost before I pay FIAT £60!
