:idea:have you tried cleaning the earth (negative -)of the battery(it goes to gearbox area)?take it off an clean it up that might help

Could be dodgy battery lugs or alternator on the way out.

I assume you don't have any sound system or anything in the car?

If it is the alarm that is draining the battery...a bigger battery would help!

yep...it might be the cassette is still using the prower even after turning off the car.....try to check its cables...there should be a red cable to be connected to not allow this to happen....may be also u have a short cct some where, or the battery itself is dying

for me this is really common
its something to do with my head unit, its wired incorectly so i have to manually turn it on and off, i cant do it with the ignition so im guessing thats where my leak is

might be the same for you
i have 2001 1.2 sporting mk 2 battery goes fla after 3 days of non use,

I've got this problem on my sei, a little different as the battery is actually going completely flat me thinks.

Once charged it will start after a wk, but after another wk it wont. The alternators been tested and so has the battery....all good.

But there is not any power to even do the windows.
I Have a Toad ai606 and the led doesnt even flash anymore due to this problem so something is draining it. In regards to the headunit if the face is out will this still allow power to go to it if it wired incorrectly, i need to check it all out but away from home atm..........

YES power still goes to the stereo.
I had this problem when ii bought my punto. I bought a new battery thinking the old one was knackered..
if the stereo stays on when you have turned the ignition off, then this will drain your battery, the stereo has 2 live wires, 1 should be a permenant live the other should be an ignition live.. The punto has 2 permenant lives running to the standard stereo, if someone fits an after market stereo you need to wire the ignition live to something that comes live when the ignition is turned on.

Had same on my brava, tried everything then tested starter motor, that was the problem, may be worth a look

Sounds like you're needing a new battery... That's all. My car had similar symptoms due to the heavy load my sound system puts on it... I just had to replace the old cheapo battery to fix it.
