Why does it happen to us drivers I do wonder. Bleeding tractor came out of nowhere on my on the route now. And have to smack the kerb to avoid more damage to the car - but I just wished I took the turning before.

I would like to ask - how do I repair the kerb damage to my abarth alloy?, is there somesort of filler and paint over the top?

And a good one for F.I.A.T - on the same wheel, the brakes are V.Hot? - could be one of the capilers sticking to the disks??? It did with my old Panda before it was scrapped.

Cheers

you can pick up alloy repair kits at halfords, but it will not look perfect afterwards, might be better getting it profesionally fixed :(

NOS Guzzlers are just lower beings :D

Or a better one I guess is to locate a another Abarth Alloy somewhere and use it as a spare wheel.

Right, anywhere I could look?

True, could be a sticky caliper. You'll probably wear the brakes more on one side than the other like this too.

The last thing I need is a cracked brake disc. I will see if the guys pick it up on the service - if not down to Kwik-Fit for a mind blowing quote.

Nah, it did, a track on a corner which is covered in trees..

Anyways - no point in me moaning over it. I will just have to live with it as one of the joys of motoring. Damn things, still I blame the missus.

Similar thing happened to me, ones of those little kids on a moped with no licence pulled out on me about 18months back in my old Pug 106.
Was left with no option but to wipe him out or go for the kerb. I went for the kerb which completely buckled a newly refurbished alloy (and theres a massive stress fracture across one of the spokes) and a brand new Yokohama[:(!] I was not happy! Though I now have a Pug 106 alloy wheel come coffee table :D

I'd take the car to a garage and have all the suspension components checked out and take the alloy somewhere to see that its not bent!

very harsh dillinger! we cant always be looking everywhere at the same time. not that ive had an accident tho.

dont go to quick fit!!!! why do people not understand their parts are s**t and they will try and rip you off. you'd probably pay bugger all more to get performance parts which will last much longer! ive had a couple of bad experiences with them id never go back there. their staff are untrained and are "taught" to sell things to you. look out for the "your rear shocks are gone, we havent got them in but i can order them for you." cnuts. sorry just got back from pub! but still avoid them like the plague!
