Hi all;
Was reading out the namespeople have given to their 500s to my wife--shr laughed when I got to John's name--says to totally sympathises with John's wife!
We got a red 1965 500f at Christmas, and has been named 'Luigi the racing car' by our 4 yr old......fortunately we have been allowed to just call him Luigi!
I called my 500 Little Ava, due to the fact the Day I bought her in 2019 our Granddaughter gave birth to her 1st. daughter in that week and named her AVA. As I am now 76 & have owned 84 cars in my driving life from Astons to Bristol & to many Merc’s to remember, my very 1st car at 17 was a Fiat 500, I intend to make this my last one. (hopefully)
My friends British racing green 68 500 F, and my 67 500F.
Although the owner of the 68 doesn't have a name for it, i call it Luigi. Because it was fitting at the time, and that's the owners name, so its easy to say Luigi's, Luigi.
My 67, although Luigi would of been the go 2 name, ive actually for now called it my little "Pepperoni". Its going to be my go to pizza "errand" car in the summer. We have a few nice little pizza shops in town, and they go nuts when i pull into with the 68, 500, wait till they see mine
My buddies think its hilarious name too, for obvious reasons.
This is my 71’ F named “LUGOSI!”
Named after the actor and our love for Dracula, and also is our cats name. His red canvas top reminds me of draculas cape. We’ve got the vanity plate that say’s LUGOSI as well!
