I'm new to this forum having joined when I bought my 1964 600D at the back end of last year. I've been busy working on the car to get to what I consider a good road worthy condition......thats not the same as being the 'excellent' turn key car it was described as being when I bought it. But I knew what I was getting having test driven it.

Any way it's now safe and reliable to drive and is going to be a rolling mechanical restoration for me.......it looks pretty, but it's got lots of stuff to keep me occupied for the coming year whilst letting me use it for shows and trips out.

I have had a few British classics and still have one now as well as the 600, so I know my way around car stuff, but I'm finding out that the 600 is a bit different to work on. So I'm wondering about the availability from this forum for guidance on difficulties I might find in the future.

I had a look at the DVLAs website and found that at the end of last year there were only 87 li enced 600s on the road with a smaller number scorned. But I figure that there are a good deal more early 500s on the road whose mechanical are not dissimilar. I can see that 500 is mentioned more than 600 on here. So just how many of those licenced and scorned owners are on her.
