Just a quickie before i go to work. been offered a package containing a brand new Snooper S3 AND a Snooper S4 for £360

had a look on ebay, and thats cheap for the two. wondered if anyone was interested?

retail on the S3 is about £150 and the S4 is about £330 new. Ebay prices are bout £120 for the S3 and £325 for the S4

Wondered if anyone here wanted em, and i could buy them and pass them on for that plus P&P? Was thinking about £100 for the S3 and £260 for the NEwer S4 (does radar etc)

whatever you guys think is reasonable, if someone wants both, or 2 people want 1 each...

Hi,
I've already got a S3 snooper. My brother has the S4. The S4 has an overall range of 1000 meters (i think) whereas the S3 only has 500 meters. To be able to detect the camera vans you will need the S100-RDL add on (for either unit) and costs around £80 from ebay usually.

The S4 alerts you via beeps or speach and has an LED screen where as the S3 only beeps and has four red bars on the screen, a number, and a letter (tells you when its connected).

They both connect via the serial port however they do make a USB cable but it isn't standard (see the links at the bottom).

To update the Snoopers you also have to pay a charge of £5 per month for as many downloads as you want (you can't pay for one subscriptioon and download on to more than one unit).

Personally I think the S4 is the better system however you pay for the improvement. The main downfall of both units is that they aren't very loud, so can be hard to hear over your music, and due to the bravo's dash you can't have it directly in your line of sight because the steering wheel blocks the display (i have mine mounted on the windscreen in the center above the air vent).

Here's some links you might find helpful:

Hope this helps.

To detect camera cans you will need the add on for either of the systems (S3 or S4).
They word their adverts cleverly so that is sounds as if you they detect them as standard but they wont. Both me and my brother have driven past the vans and not had either of the snoopers detect them (luckily neither of us were speeding).
You can add new locations in to the systems yourself so that if you come across an area where they often wait you can have it give a warning.
The S4 is only more expensive because of the extended range, speach function (not that much use as the S4 tells you what it's detecting on the screen anyway) and the LED screen (displaying text). The S3 will only show red bars on the screen and a letter from which you can tell what its detecting.
