small problem

hiya,
i have small problem with my hgt mk1. every time i start the engine when its cold i can smell petrol inside the car. anyone knows whats wrong??

my marea does it, always has, i dont think its anything to worry about, just when its on choke its running higher rpm and not burning it all off. can you smell petrol when its warmed up?

maybe but it wasnt like that before. it started doing it about a month ago. when the engine is warm i can still smell it but only when driving on first gear.
