Anyone else find the lip to this compartment digs into your left leg when driving? Does anyone know if you can blank this off? Thanks for your help everyone :)

Interestingly, my twinair doesn't have the under seat compartment!

Ran two 500s over a year with BSM, the little box was always a pain in the leg. Presumably not an issue for LHD models as the passenger can put their legs anywhere.
Interestingly, my twinair doesn't have the under seat compartment!
Initially, even on regular models I thought this was a cost option, so many will not have them. My early Sport had it, but the Pop did not.

My 500 (s) has a small 'cargo net' instead of a compartment by my left knee which does not cause any issues. I imagine a compartment with a door would be quite awkward. Incidentally I cannot see any under seat storage in my car.

I scarcely notice the compartment's there. I keep a charging cord in it but then forgot and stored another elsewhere in the car - I wouldn't miss it if it was gone; not much practical use.

My 2013 Lounge has no underseat storage but my wife's Pop does...

Was tempted to scoop the ‘sticky out bit’ and turn it into a flush finger hole as I found it annoying in shorts. Not done so yet though, it would be less destructive than removing it and/ or trying to create something like the net of later cars

Never used to have a problem with the little "door" in my 2011 Lounge - obviously it depends on your size and how you sit. It was handy for holding car park change.
My wife now has a 2015 500C Lounge, post facelift, and the door has become a net, which doesn't get used.

I realise this thread is a bit old now, but I have a question about said small compartment to the right of the gear stick (in UK models anyway). I've looked high and low online for spares of this door, eBay etc but just can't find one which is likely to fit my 2011 500C Lounge TwinAir. I understand there are two variants of this door which hinge in different ways - all I've been able to find are ones which *don't* look like they fit this variant. See attached photos of the gaping hole in my 500C, which shows where the door should attach to.

If anyone knows a good source for one of these then I'd be massively grateful for any steer you can give!

Thanks - I did see them on eBay however they weren't selling one of these little doors at the time. I will message them directly though, in case it's something they can help with. Many thanks for the pointer!

Thanks for the photo @John202020, however that looks like the side hinge variant. From the space in my console, it looks like I need the bottom-hinged variant. It's a right pain that they're not all the same.

We've had the car about a year now and it was missing when we got it (though didn't spot that at the time).

If anyone has the bottom-hinged variant, then it would be great if you could post a photo similar to what @John202020 did please, so I could use it for my spares search.
