Slight problem with HGT

Need a bit of help guys..

Took out the MAF earlier to give it a clean... no problem there....however.....

since doing that, the injector light has come on, and stayed on, and she's not idleing as she used to..

Nothing eratic, just a few revs up & down..

Done an ECU reset... battery unplugged for over an hour.. reconnected, and still the same problem..

Any ideas on this one ??

Most likely the problem is there.

Either you've not put it back right or you've damaged it.

why did you touch it if it didnt have a problem?

I was getting loss of power at around 4½-5k revs...

Last time it did that, I cleaned the MAF and the problem was solved..

Would a damaged MAF cause the injector light to come on though ??

Not always. It could still be producing an output thats in range.

Most likely you've not put it back right.

the faulty maf i bought made my injector light come on and made the car stall whenever it was given some revs

I have found that when I slow down, almost to a stop it tries to stall.

Thanks for the offer...I'm down in West Sussex...right at the bottom of the A24/A29.

lol yeah a bit far to come. im working just along the coast in hastings (east sussex i know)so i drive down there every morning and it is a long journey. you could do with trying another maf in there though just incase its a dodgy connection. in my opinion if youve already cleaned it once its probably dead. get yourself a new one, make sure its a genuine bosch one(not from the internet) and the difference will put a smile on your face!
