this problem has got worse and worse over the past months.
been bugging me for a long time
if i put my foot down. i have no power until about 2000/3000 revs. and even when it does reach here all the poke it used to have sint there.
my first port of call. was spark plugs a few months ago. this didnt cure it,
secondly ignition leads and coil packs (still no cure)
my next port of call is fuel filter and fuel injector.
ive checked pipe to map sensor. doesnt seem to be split/corroded.
does anyone have any ideas on what to check ?
i really am stumped if the injector/filter doesnt cure it.
help :(
cheers

mainly hot.. and to be honest its not ALL ! the time it does it..
some times ill drive it and it will be fine.
hope this helps your diagnosis
it does have a slight blow in the exhaust.
and about to replace rocker gasket due to slight leakage.
ill do this along with the fuel filter etc
none the less ill check the vaccuum pipes like you say.

how much is a bit?
im sure i can get one on pay day :)
fuel filter 8 quid. so ill try that first.
if no joy ill bosh a lambda sensor in :slayer:

I think about £70. Can be a PITA to remove the old one.

BUT, under certain conditions a holed exhaust can confuse a lambda, and a leak in the vacuum tubes will create all kinds of mayhem. Always best to get the cheap stuff fixed first.

Having said that, fuel filters should be a routine service item at 40k or so, so a good buy.

i had the engine out the other month. changed the clutch cambelt oil filter everything basically. but forgot the fuel filter :bang:
i have a spare lambda in my garage on a spare fire engine that i just thought about, so thats 70 quid saved
alls i need is some gas for me welder to get that hole sealed :)
thanks fingers :)
