General Sliding door problems

Hi,

I have a Fiat Ducato LWB Hi-Top and Im having some trouble with the sliding door.

The door doesnt seem to locate properly when it closes. When it closes it hangs 12mm lower than it should be (it doesnt meet up with the locators on the frame). This makes the door difficult to closes and open.

I wouldnt mind this but the fact that it is hangin a bit low means the top seal (which is in good condition) is not being fully closed and rain is getting in making the inside of my van very wet.

Does anyone have any ideas; what is broken that causes the problem? How I can repair it?

I read that it might be to do with the female locating hole (on the door frame) this fixture is cracked. However, Im not sure whether this is causing the problem or is a result of the door being a but too low.

Id be really grateful for any ideas?

what year/engine?

Its a T reg and it has a 2.8L engine.
I noticed a similar topic in which you mentioned the locating hole. The one on my van is cracked.
Could putting a new one on solve my problem?

hole? do you mean locating guide? It would certainly help guide the door to its correct position I would say.
