Im not sure if the offset is incorrect, the guy told me it was all digitaly balanced and will fit. I will fit them to see if everything is good and I'll take it from there But do you think they won't fit from the sizes of tyres I wrote earlier in this thread.

as said, it will all depend on the offset of the wheels. 205/50/16's were too big to fit on mine with fiat coupe alloys but 195/45/16's fit perfect. i cant remember the offset of the coupe alloys tho. best be is to fit em like i said and check for any rubbing. changing a wheel takes 5 mins, it wont take long to fit and check them b4 making an educated decision to if they fit or not.

205/40/17 is what most of us run on with the correct offset.

balancing is nothing to do with offset

jus some advice i was given if you go above 16" it jus looks like pram wheels not a good look i was lucky with teh alloys i bought just a complete random find seriously go onto ebay and see what you can find.
i have 16" wheels on mine and it looks sweeet cant wait for my coilovers

Fit the wheels and see if anything fouls. If its rubbing fit spacers (and longer bolts) to bring the wheels out a bit. If it needs more than 6mm spacers then sell the wheels.

I usually go on about spacers messing up the handling but that only applies when the offset is correct. If there is too much offset (causing rubbing) spacers will bring the wheel rim back to where it should be and wont over-stress the bearings etc.
