Styling Silver rubbing strips on black jtd

Hi there,

When I was in Brazil I saw a black Stilo with all kinds of different OEM bits fitted. In particular I like the look of the silver rubbing strips. Finally I have got around to replicating the look. I simply masked up the paintwork and painted with primer and silver from Halfords' rattle cans and hey presto! Quite impressed with the results.

That's taken a long time, you posted about doing it 2 years ago.

Looks OK. Not sure it would suit any colour other than black though.

Wow, you have a long memory! The Coupe gets 99% of my attention and the Stilo is just my daily driver; hence this was spur of the moment job.

Agree suits black okay, would not do to any colour. Easy to put back-to-black if I want. However, I think it provides a bit of a visual lift.
