I have managed to get my hands on a pair of 5 door side skirts. I got them from a local breakers yard. They are in very good condition and didnt cost me the earth. They are currently painted silver. Would I be better off getting them painted colour coded the same as the car or a black glossy finish using 2k paint?

I'd definitely say body colour. Couldn't you get some in the right colour to save on painting costs?

No, unfortunatley not. The reason why I was going to get them done gloss black is to match the Linea spoiler that I have on the car. It looks like it is going to cost me in the region of £160.00 to have them resprayed does this sound about right?

Is respraying something i should attempt myself?
Not if you don't feel confident doing it I wouldn't! you don't wanna look like the chavs n there corsas with mismatching badly painted panels.

Can someone please let me know the correct name of the plastic peice and bolted screw that support the fixing of the underside of the side skirt to the car?

Iirc side skirts are longer for a 5 door than a 3, have you test fitted them to see if the lenght is correct?

The skirts came off a 5 door, I did test fit them before handing them over to be sprayed, get them both sprayed colour coded to the car for £100.00 plus vat. I am hoping to get them back this time next week.
