Technical side lights

This seems a stupid problem but it is a problem. My nearside side lights have gone, bought new bulbs went to put them in and the battery is in the way. Took the battery out, but the battery case is still in the way and couldn't see how to take it out. Tried taking the light out but it seems well and truly stuck in there.

Any suggestions?

take the front bumper off.... thats what I do, or full lock right undo the arch liner and do it from the wheel well, although the front bumper off is the best way and easiest. I can get mine off in 10 mins, and the headlights are bolted in 3 places

Its not too bad providing bolts aren't rusted in place.

20min for bumper off, headlights out and bulbs changed and back in and bumper back on I've had it down to before.

Thankfully my car was in the garage getting a new clutch, and they've replaced them for me.
