Should i upgrade?

Hey Guys/Gals. I have a dilemma. Currently i have 1.2sx bravo 51 plate in a silvery blue colour, done 44k.
Should i upgrade to my favourite coloured bravo which is yellow? It is an X Reg 100 16v hlx or trofeo i think with less miles on the clock. Will cost me 2500. hopefully i will be able to get 2000 for my current bravo at a big push. so only 500 needed. and little bit extra on insurance. (i'm 21, 1 years no claims)
My dad advises me against it and says i should wait a year and get something newer. Really, what do people think? i'm stuck.

£2500 is a a bit overpriced in my opinion! And it's a lot to spend just to get the colour you like, you sound like a typical woman, the first thing they think about when buying a car is the colour lol.

On a serious note, I agree with your father!

Yep seems a bit pricy to me,have a look around your self and i think you will be supprised at what they go for.
Your dads right,and if your very careful this year and have another no claims next year then that could widen your options even more?

Can't blame you for wanting to 'move on up', but as a relative old'un on here, (still in my thirties though) I can see the logic of hanging-on to what you have, especialy as it's a good car and newer
- in truth it's the most sensible advice.

Would be cheaper to play-around with yours a bit if you want to stay interested in it for longer - everyone gets jaded with the same car after a while, no matter how good it is...

2500 is only the asking price.
offer them 2000-2250 cash and i bet they wont say no.
My car was advertised at 1800 i offered 1400 and they threw in a free cambelt change aswell.
to get maximum price for your car you could try ebay but be extremly thourough with your description and have a clean layout when advertising online.
