Should I buy a Brava?

So, should I buy a nearly-new Brava or a Vauxhall Astra? The Brava seems like better value for money... Does it give a smooth ride, plenty of headroom for a tall other half and a good sized boot? Is it really suitable/enough space for a couple with a new baby?
Any feedback from other Brava owners welcomed.
Thanks.

how about a marea?

The marea is a larger version of the brava, built on the same platform it is a much more suitable car for family due to extra space, however it is much cheaper than the brava second hand as its not so popular.
Check out the nearly new prices and im sure youll be amazed,I find the 2 we have are superb cars.

Fiat Marea

I have a superb Marea Saloon for sale. 2000 W reg in stunning silver. this car looks drives and even smells brand new!! it is a 1.6 100SX model. It is unusaul because it has air conditioning and Electric sunroof,(normally the choice is Electric sunroof or Aircon...this has both) as well as power steering and Electric front windows and central locking. It has done 18000 miles and has full Fiat service history. Also benefits from having a better sound system than the brava,(6 speakers with steering wheel controls for audio) A beutiful car that i was expecting to keep for a long time.
I am selling because I am now changing job and chosing a Marea 155hlx as a company car.

New price for this model is £13,350 and Im selling this car for £6,250.

I can email you pics of the car if you contact me on [email protected]

I bought a secondhand 1.6.16v Brava a few weeks ago. Plenty of headroom, lively if not super quick engine, power steering box failed immediately but the dealer is replacing it (£560) FOC. I had some initial difficulty coming to terms with the power steering which is altogether too light for my taste and stays light throughout the speed range but I'm getting used to it. Engine comes on cam at about 3200 rpm and goes off at about 5200 but it makes a nice Italian noise even with the standard box. The car probably needs stiffer suspension and decent tyres, but it grips quite well, so in general I'm happy with it. The Astra is ok if you want to be Mr Average, because that's what it is, average everything.
