Whenever I visit the showroom I luv the way the cars look - so shiny :) Is it the lighting or are you able to get that showroom gleam with a product?

quite easy using correct wash techniques--wash alloys (and arches)-->snow foam-->wash using 2BM-->dry correctly-->clay to prepare the paint-->polish-->wax or seal(or both if you want)-->seal windows wheels, dress tyres-->interior clean....

and btw sometimes the show room car paint is far from perfect...edit the pic below shows some of bonnet and passengere wing...reflection...

plus its easy to find faults in showroom lighting with paint defects for example swirls and RDS...

Gosh  no wonder they gleam ....think I'll have to gen up on the cleaning regime in detail :D ..thanks x

PS Sorry mods for posting in wrong area, didnt realise there was a special section ;)

My fella washed and waxed mine Suzey and having just been to collect the delayed mats it looked far better/shinier than any in the showroom, had people coming over to look at it! :) lol.
Can ask him what he used etc if you want. x

ninja is right i have just been on 3 fourcourts (looking with dad) and the state of the cars is absolutely shocking..... One sure fire way to put sales man off is to start slagging the cars off ;)

i got told i was being "picky" by one dealership (not fiat) i hasten to add...:p neither was it another car im looking at but a large german one...which can mean only 3 companies...with 4 rings...

i got told the same.... then i picked on his comment that all used cars have a xx point check.... "so why have you had to jump start that one?" (jump leads on the floor next to it))

his excuse was a perler apparently "one of the demo cars needed a top up "::ROFLMAO::

why not just be honest and say its been sat a while in storage

Only way to keep a show room shine is to treat it right starting with the washing process

Pre-rinsed with pressure washer, washed using two bucket method and Meguiars shampoo plus and Meguiars wool wash mitt.

Then clayed using Sonus Green with Meguiars Last Touch as lube.

Waxed using Dodo Light Fantastic applied by hand, left for roughly 20 minutes and buffed off with a Meguiars finishing microfiber.

Many thanks MissR's OH (y) ..and you too MissR x

Looks like I'm going to have to get stocked up on car care bits ;)

The salesman at the dealer thought I was going crazy when i told them not to touch my other half's new 500 - I wanted it delivered covered in the transport wax and glue, poor bloke was mighty confused, even after explaining I do it for a living!

I can't wait to do this if I upgrade to an Abarth! My garage loves it when I request for it not to be washed though, the service guys hate cleaning them!
