severe weather warning.....

went out earlier in the sedici, really not the car for this weather, the brakes worked well, being able to slow without locking in the snow ontop of ice, but as it's accelerator is like an on off switch you can't control it so well, slight touch on the accelerator, it revs up to 1.5k (in 4th) with no gain in speed as wheels spin then as it falls back down it starts to grip and lunges off surprisingly quickly. had a front wheel skid on a bend, so corrected it before i plowed into pavement at a wapping 10mph! happens slowly so it's very easy to correct which is nice. also didn't have to three point turn in the turning area in my road for once  steering "feel" is excellent despite power steering, i've not known any other car (in my very limited experience) with PAS to give as much "feel" through the steering wheel, most tend to be too powerfull and light to give much sense of how the road feels.

This sort of weather would be perfect for my old 1.4, it's skinny tyres cut through snow, and the inherent stability of the tipo platform means no rear end drama unless you handbrake it. and a smooth throttle.

Main roads were all fine though, just slush and water, so able to relax for a bit. coming back into my estate the road having been used more on that side was a lot easier lol. what i was meant to be doing tomorrow in Bath has been cancelled so just going to stay in and be lazy yet again lol.

If I want to drive along a residential street (in the dark and with cars parked along the sides) at 20mph because there's snow across the road then I will do so. Driving up my backside is not going to bully me into driving faster  I really hope these are the cocky ones who end up crashing into kerbs and so on

My Sedici is hiding in the garage :D

I drove it in the snow a few years ago and I agree it's an excellent winter warrior, and drove my mums 1.4 when I had just passed my test and it was brilliant!

My accelerator is a bit 'all or nothing' too but probably because of a dirty throttle position sensor. Perhaps yours needs a bit of TLC too?

i been to and from work as well...... down roads not ploughed... gritted... still inches deep with snow...

and then you get those moaning because of it....

hmmmm i cant get to work but i cant x miles from my house to go sledging lmfao

I've got a new one!

Today I had to get a hairdryer to the door lock of my HOUSE. I could get the key in the lock but the mechanism that undoes the bolts that go into the frame had frozen.
Had a similar problem with the fuel filler lock on the 500....
