General Service reset

The topic of reseting the service indicator seems to have been covered in some depth, but as I am new to the forum and haven't read every thread I may be able to add some info regarding this subject.

My O4 panda has just been serviced by myself and I phoned my local garage (Sewards, Havant) so see if they would reset the indicator. They said they wouldn't because they hadn't done the service themselves, BUT stated they would show me how to do it as the car is now out of warranty.

I am due to take the car there on Mon 25th June and I'll let you know how I get on.

No offence taken!

I mean the warning display you get when its near to a service (or overdue.) It forms part of the multi function computer. My Panda is an Eleganza so it may not be fitted to the dynamic.

Damn,

Sewards did reset the service indicator for me and although I was initially told it could be reset by pressing certain buttons, this is apparently not the case.

They used an electronic device and charged me £21+vat.

When I had mine I was told the same, it needs a diagnostic tool to reset it. Its so annoying, I mean some far more expensive cars can be reset at home.
