Hi, I wonder if anyone can give me some advice.

I'm selling a Fiat Ducato for someone (converted to a Hymer campervan). I've discovered that he's never had it serviced in any way shape or form. He's owned it from new (2008), now it's on 90,000km.

It's a Ducato 2008. Engine is an Iveco 2.8L 8140.43s.
I tried looking on Eurocarparts but it dosens't show this engine for this vehicle, only 2.2, 2.3 and 3.0L.

I've found in the paperwork that the oil has been changed a few times during the first 30,000km but nothing else.

I was planning to do:

Oil and oil filter change
Air filter change
Cabin filter change
Visual check on brake pads, belts, coolant, hoses, brake lines etc.

Is there anyone else that needs doing or should have been done by this point?

Nothing major appeared on the MOT. I just want to get everything up to date and ready to sell, and so that a new buyer doesn't have to touch it for a good while. The engine starts fine and runs nicely, gearbox feels smooth.

I'm not at all familiar with this kind of vehicle so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Another thing is working out exactly which air filter etc is needed, since I can't select the correct engine on eurocarparts :/

....I won't comment on the service history, but (if the engine truly is the 8140.43s 2.8JTD) the reason you can't find appropriate spares is that the base Ducato on which the motorhome is built is no later than an early 2006 model.

Try using 2006 as the year in your searches - this is the latest year that generally brings up the 2.8 option (including on Eurocarparts).

It is not particularly uncommon for motorhomes to be built on stored chassis, and then sit around for some time before being sold and registered (which could lead to your 2008 date - by which time the model and engine line-up had changed completely).

Be aware that there may be two possible different oil filters from Eurocarparts. In the past, I've bought the wrong one for my 2.8JTD.

Fuel filter.
Cambelt probably required too, by age, if this engine has a cambelt.

If it was registered in 2008 its probably been sitting in a yard for a couple of years. That alone is grounds for a cambelt change.

Ah, so it's a 2006 version. That makes much more sense. Thank you.
Strangely the Fiat VIN decodes to a 2008 version, but the same manufacturers plate states the engine code of 8140.43s. As you said it must have sat in a yard for a couple of years before being registered.

I've found it now on eurocarparts.

Is there any way to know which of the two oil filters it takes without checking the engine? The vehicle isn't parked near me and there is a nice 30% off on eurocarparts until the end of the day today.
If there's no way to know without checking the old one I'll have to order both of them and just see what fits!

OK, I've ordered:

Oil + filter
Fuel filter
Cabin filter
Air filter
Timing belt kit

Thanks for the help!

You may also find that you do not have a cabin filter after much searching.
My 2003 2.8JTD doesn't have one.
Also, after thinking about it, there are two possible fuel filter options.
Good luck, and welcome to Fiat World!!
