btw, I chose a very quiet road with minimal chance of wild life invasion before I let Martyn drive my car. Thankfully it paid off but I was still v. nervous for the entire 5-10 minutes. Not because of his driving it should be noted

Can't believe how quick the Diesel is..though to be fair, jumping back to a 1.2 maybe makes it seem faster than it is. Definately my next car though, thats for sure.

Standard GP (1.2 active) is cheap to insure, relaible, comfy, practical low maintenance.
40MPG if your carefull, I average 38mpg.
And a joy to drive.

What size is your engine?? was it 1.4 or 1.6?? what ever it is, it'll be bigger than Dubster's.

The only time you made me really nervous was when you were talking too much and not paying enough attention to the road: I'm still impressed it only happened once though. In fact I'd say you said less in that 5-10 minutes than in the entire time I've known you :laugh:

diesels are deceptive, they aren't "quick" in the terms of fast cars, but they feel quick mid range where it really matters because the way they deliver their power is low down and in a big lump, so great for overtaking

Still do really like the derv gp. The roads Ive used as a commute were ideal for them.
