Was speaking with Steve119 earlier tonight, thinking about another mini meet next month.

Idea would be to aim for maybe the middle of the month. Grab a bite to eat (chippy maybe?) have a wee drive then a yap.

Could perhaps make it a week night, or weekend - open to ideas.

If we can get the numbers, can maybe make this a semi-regular thing. So who's all in?

Depends how far folk are willing to travel I guess.

Zanres is good, could make a trip to Peterhead or Fraserburgh which would be relatively simple for the likes of Saw & Steve to make.

In the town? There's Mikes or the Ashvale for good food.

Open to suggestions :)

You serious?? Aberdeen's a hell of a long drive.
Takes me 5hrs max to get there.... so think you'd have 1 hell of a long drive...

5 hours? what detour did you take

I managed Ellon to Morecambe in just over 5 hours

You were either abducted by aliens or someone tampered with your motor and made it look like you were doing 70 when in fact you were only driving at 40 mph :D Tis the only way I can see a 200-odd mile trip taking 5 hours especially at that time of night.

But it was nice to meet you :)

5 hours to do 200 miles...at night?

were you stuck in reverse, andi?

Took me almost 3 hours to do around 150 miles from newcastle to glasgow.

So i'd assume 4 hours would do for the 200 miles but adding on he did stop at a service etc etc, 5 hours doesn't seem all that bad.

Or does everyone drives as jame said 100 mph?

Who me? never...

But remember it's pretty much 70 mph most of the way so covering 200 miles should take you 3-4 hrs max if you drive between 60-70 mph. 5 hrs if you time it wrong and hit rush hour but I can't see that happening late on a Saturday night

Did you hit rush hour in Newcastle or something? It's a nightmare at the best of times

average speed of just under 60mph (57mph) (given 95% of the road is a 70 at night with close to no traffic to stop you in between the main roads thats a very slow average speed) gives you a 200 mile journey time of bang on 3 and a half hours

i know i easily can do glasgow to aberdeen in a not that long over 3 and a half during the day
