Technical Selespeed problems

Hey all!

see if there's someone else who's got the same problem as I have.

well there's not really a problem, just a very annoying occurence.

My selespeed seems to think it has a problem.

The warning "Gearbox failure, return to dealer" comes up from time to time.
Sometimes it just disappears, or sometimes you have to stop, switch the engine off and restart.

it can happen anytime, accelerating from 2 nd gear or changing gears, or driving over a speed bump or just purely driving @ highspeed.

as I said the "Gearbox failure" seems to vanish whenever it feels like it, even @ high speed.

Can live with it.. as it can work fine for months and/or happens 15 times in one day.

any idéas?

if I was you, I'd get it hooked up to an Examiner as soon as possible. It sounds like you've got a gearbox sensor starting to malfunction (there's alot of them in the gearbox!) and you'll probably end up getting stranded somewhere if you don't sort it soon. Trust me... it happened to me

If the warning has popped up, then there will be a fault code logged which will point straight tot he culprit.

I wouldn't just "live with it" thats what I did with mine and it gave up the ghost eventually.

get it on examiner, look for a FIAT specialist near your area, if you have any? rather than a FIAT dealer

My car also used to have that same message come up from time to time. I got it hooked up to the examiner and they couldn't find the fault code and said everything looked fine. Has'nt happened since then.
