I've got a 1996 punto selecta with CVT. It takes abit of force to get the lever into drive and reverse when the engines running.
Once in drive the transmission works fine
Can any one give any advise to what the problem is?
I know that they use an electromagnetic type of clutch usually called a powder clutch, could it be the brushes or the whole unit, if so can you obtain replacements
Any ideas would be appreciated before I strip the gearbox out
