If the engine does indeed seize then you "can't" recover anything expect the sump, & extra bits like water pump etc.
Because, if it seizes then most likely there will be bits of metal in the oil which may have been carried around the engine, meaning you'll need new parts (including engine) to ensure that oil feeds are clear including all pipes to oil cooler if you use one. (practice we use on all race engines).
Although for a road car you could un-seize it and keep it running
don't think anyone will care much. Depending on why it seized of course. But anti freeze or something to free the pistons then re-bore the engine. but you'll need to clean the oil channels with something strong.
