A friend has given me a 2001 seicento. It has quite a few problems, I will be using it for the next 18 months then it will pass to my daughter

First does it have power steering? At the moment its a beast to turn and Ive got a bad back and osteoartitis in my right shoulder and its killing. I want to use the car so it keeps running and not have to take it off the road
if it doesnt have power steering how major is it to change?

The aircon works but the heating doesnt, what can I do about that?

Change the radio is it easy and do i need to change the wiring harness. At the moment it is has a tape deck in it (daughters have asked for a usb radio which i have changed in other cars?

Apologies for questions but Im new to the whole seiciento thing and lack of power steering:):):):)

Hi :)

Thats not too many issues ;)

Ok .. the BIG one..

It SHOULD have electric power steering

There SHOULD be a red steering wheel symbol on the dash.. that goes out as the engine starts

Look here for basic info:

Stereo should slide out like any other

Im in Spain which means aircon is important.

I can't see any light on the dash. I presume its an MPI as it has the flat pancake air filter housing Im praying it does have power steering.

Yes fan works wonderfully no heat though and it does get coldish over here

I figured that on the radio, will purchase the usb radio whilst explaining to my teenagers what a tape is !!

I struggle to turn it in reverse. Its just so heavy I know its silly but Im used to power steering. It may come to a point where I wont be able to use it but Im going to take my daughter out in it and see if she can turn it

Many thanks for the advice will try it out next weekend
